Starting Monday 22 September, 7pm
St John the Divine Church, Richmond
Running weekly until 1 December (no session on 27 October)
Alpha is a space to explore life’s big questions in a relaxed, friendly environment. It’s for anyone who’s curious—whether you’re new to faith, returning after time away, or just interested in exploring. No pressure. No preach. Just open, honest conversations.
We begin with a warm, home-cooked meal—time to relax, connect, and get to know one another.
Each session includes a short, engaging film that opens up big topics around life, faith, and meaning.
No question is too big or too small. Share your thoughts—or just listen. Every voice matters.
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. It’s fun, free, and open to all—whether you have faith, no faith, or are just exploring.
We’ll meet weekly on Monday evenings at 7pm at St John the Divine Church. Once you register, we’ll send you everything you need to know.
Email Rev’d Joe Moore to sign up:
Come as you are. Bring your questions. Discover more.
The Green Team is a group made up of clergy and congregation members from all three churches. We meet every few months to plan how to both work towards Silver status in the Ecochurch Scheme but also to ensure we care for God’s earth irrespective of external awards. We would welcome new members to join us – no experience necessary just a willingness to learn and work together. Please contact the Parish Office
The Richmond bell ringers are an active group who are dedicated to maintaining regular ringing in the parish. We ring most Sundays before the morning service and practice on Tuesday evenings. We also ring for weddings and other special occasions.
Contact your local tower captain, Jackie Harrison, to come along and watch to get an idea of what is involved.
Please contact one (or more!) of the following:

Richmond Team Ministry hosts the Richmond Soup Kitchen during the winter months to support the homeless and those in food poverty. We often need help with welcoming guests, preparing and cooking an evening meal, and many other tasks. Please contact RSK to find out more.
All three churches have choirs which sing regularly at services and welcome new members. Follow the links below for more details.
Both St John the Divine and St Mary Magdalene have concert programmes with visiting musicians and resident performers.
